Plenty of Side Activities During the WOC Tour

Try Swimrun in Rauhalahti, Kuopio (Wednesday to Friday)
From Wednesday to Friday, you can try out swimrun in Rauhalahti, Kuopio. The sport involves alternating between trail running and open-water swimming multiple times along the route. The session lasts about an hour and introduces participants to the sport and its equipment. Swimming skills are required, but there is no age limit. Register via the WOC online store.
Cultural Tour in Kuopio (Thursday)
On Thursday, you can join a cultural tour in Kuopio. Before the tour, there’s an opportunity to explore the Palad Showroom space, its art, and ambiance. This side activity is free of charge.
Men’s First Division Finnish Baseball Match (Friday)
On Friday, July 11th, a Finnish baseball (pesäpallo) First Division men’s match will be played between the home team Puijon Pesis and Seinäjoen Maila-Jussit at Osuma Arena. The match starts at 6:00 PM, please arrive early.
By showing your WOC tour competition number at the ticket booth, you’ll get an adult ticket for €8 (regular price €15). Children under 16 enter for free. The address of Osuma Arena is Puijonlaaksontie 14.
Museums Open All Week
Kuopio’s museums are open throughout the orienteering week. The Kuopio Museum, Kuopio Art Museum Kumma, and Old Kuopio Museum offer insights into the city’s history, mythical forests, and magical realism in art.
